Coffee Gift Card Holder

How many of you need cards to send gift cards to people this Christmas season?  I know I do, but I always find more time during the year to make one than I do during the holidays!  This is a simple card I made to hold a Starbucks gift card, using CTMH's 6x6 kraft flap cards bases.  The flap is usually designed to be on the outside--check out these other projects of mine here and here to see a few of these pretties in action.  But for this card, I decided to tuck the flap INSIDE using a bit of adhesive at either end, in order to hold a gift card.

 

I made the card coffee-themed, since I was giving a Starbucks card, naturally.  I used a Fiskars coffee themed clear stamp set that featured various mugs and coffee beans, stamped in cocoa ink.  I then used scraps of the Stella paper pack from CTMH and cocoa cardstock.  I paper pieced the little heart on the cup--so cute!

 

 

 

This is the inside view--you can appreciate the flap, which I stamped with the coffee bean border from the set.

So cute and easy--no need to cut extra flaps or create a whole new card!  Love that!

Lantern Tree Card

Here's one last card featuring the Trees and Things stamp set from CTMH.  As you can see, it is a fun and versitle set to play with.  I used scraps from the Stella paper pack, colonial white and cocoa colored cardstock, and a kraft die cut card from CTMH.  I used Cocoa, Olive, Pear, and Sunset inks and then used Petite Pairs (SU) for the little sentiment.  Thanks for stopping by--hope you have a creative day:)

Button Tree Card

This was a fun card to make and really helps you weed through your button stash! 

It was directly inspired by this card made by Aaron.  I used the Trees and Things stamp set from CTMH and stamped the tree trunk with Cocoa ink.  Then I used various buttons from my stash to cover the tree top, adhereing each one with glue dots.  I used one of my favorite paper packs, Stella (CTMH) for the card base and colored strips and mounted my image on Cocoa cardstock.  The sentiment comes from Petite Pairs (SU) and the card itself is a kraft card from CTMH--love these beauties!  You'll have to try this out--it is a fun way to stamp a card.

Just for You Kraft Card

This card features an adorable little flower and sentiment from CTMHs Just for You stamp set. This is a fun stamp set because you can customize each flower petal with your chosen design and ink color (I used Olive, Lagoon, and Sunset from CTMH). The center of the flower is a pewter badge button--these are self-adhesive so they are very handy. I took various sized scraps of the Stella paper collection (CTMH) and inked the edges in Cocoa ink before adhering them onto the kraft card base. Then, I notched the card flap with some sharp micro-tipped scissors and threaded some twill ribbon through and tied into a bow. Hope you enjoy and thanks for stopping by :)

Stella Kraft card

Still enjoying the Stella papers and wanted to share with you a new card I made using CTMHs Kraft card bases. I am so used to the typical A2 card size, so this was fun to play with a square dimension and a little flap to boot. I basically used scraps of patterned cardstock (didn't measure) and inked them with Cocoa ink--love how this paper pack takes Cocoa ink--it really makes the edge POP. And then used a paper flower left over from Creative Memories and added a wooden button with some embroidery floss tied in it for a little bit of interest. My favorite part is the two pin clips (CTMH) I used behind the flower. I then inked the entire card front and flap. I stamped a "thanks for your kindness" sentiment from Fiskars on the orange cardstock square. I think next time I would like to add two slits in the flap and tie a bow using white grosgrain ribbon. I plan to pop this in the mail to my sweet sis-in-law to thank her for the amazing care package she sent to my family from her recent trip to Hawaii. Not only did she send great Hawaiian print clothes for the kids and myself, but carmel chocolates and coffee for me and my hubby. Thank you so much Beka!

Stella Birthday Card

I am having a BALL with this new paper pack from CTMH called "Stella"--it is spunky, funky, and eclectic. I whipped up this EASY birthday card today, thanks to direct inspiration from Jen Patrick. I used the stamp punch from Creative Memories--it is handy because it can be used anywhere on the page--and just adhered the postage stamp cut-outs onto my white card base after inking the edges with Cocoa ink. I stamped the sentiment from the Party Pennants stamp set (CTMH) in Cocoa ink. Then, as a final touch, I used a doily flower from the Bohemian assortment (CTMH). So easy and cute.

Stella Desk Set

Back again with the same project as yesterday, just different papers and color schemes. This time I used CTMH's Stella paper pack. This paper pack is so unique--I would have never dreamed the colors Lagoon and Olive would go together...but they totally work. After making the notecard box using Valerie's template, I embellished it with a zip strip border across the top, stamped "NOTES" in Cocoa ink and adhered each cut out letter with 3D foam tape, and added a lace flower and button from CTMH's Bohemian assortments collection.

For the notecards, I layered white daisy cardstock on lagoon cardstock and added a simple stripe of sunset patterned paper near the bottom. I then had fun rifling through my button stash for gold, clear, turquoise, and orange colored buttons, and then tied them with brown baker's twine (PaperTrey Ink) and popped them on with a glue dot. I stamped various sentiments from CTMH's Card Word Puzzle stamp set on each notecard with Cocoa ink. I also stamped the flap of each envelope with the flower bunch from the same stamp set in Lagoon ink. Can't decide which desk set I like better--both are cute in their own way!
