This was a fun card to make and really helps you weed through your button stash!
It was directly inspired by this card made by Aaron. I used the Trees and Things stamp set from CTMH and stamped the tree trunk with Cocoa ink. Then I used various buttons from my stash to cover the tree top, adhereing each one with glue dots. I used one of my favorite paper packs, Stella (CTMH) for the card base and colored strips and mounted my image on Cocoa cardstock. The sentiment comes from Petite Pairs (SU) and the card itself is a kraft card from CTMH--love these beauties! You'll have to try this out--it is a fun way to stamp a card.

Glitter Tree
Today I'd like to share another card made with the Trees and Things stamp set from CTMH. I stamped the tree and sentiment in Cocoa ink and then used Sorbet ink in first and second generation for the flowers in the tree. You might need to click on the picture to enlarge it, but if you look closely, you can see that I used glitz glitter gel over the flowers to give them a nice sparkle. The sentiment is from Because of You stamp set (CTMH, retired) and the inside reads "because you are in it!" Thanks for stopping by today :)

Tree Card
I recently pulled out a neglected stamp set of mine, Trees and Things (CTMH). It is a fun set to play with because it has a three part tree image and then cute accessories like swings, lanterns, small animals, etc. I will be featuring this stamp set for the rest of the week and into next week. I used the "rock n' roll" technique to create a two-toned leaf design for the treetop using Pear and Olive inks, and then used some patterned paper from one of my MOST favorite paper packs, Stella (CTMH), for the "grass." The sentiment, tree trunk, and swing are stamped in cocoa ink, and the sentiment is from Because of You stamp set (CTMH, retired)--the inside reads "when friends fill our lives." I plan to send this card to a dear friend who is struggling with some things in her life right now.
