Fall Gratitude Journals

Back again with some more fun fall artwork!  I stamped these canvas journals from CTMH--they were a steal at $2.25 on their clearance website!!  I snatched up half a dozen or so of these and made these 3 gratitude journals for a Fall-i-day party I was recently invited to.  The party was so fun!  Basically, everyone was asked to bring 3 fall items that represented what they love about fall (for $5 or less).  Then, we each gave a short presentation of why we brought what we brought, and then drew 3 names out of a pail and those ladies received the gifts.  So...you brought 3 fall items and left with 3 different fall items!  Fun!  I was super excited to receive a Starbuck's gift card as one of my gifts...Pumpkin Spice Latte here I come!!  But I digress... :)  I, of course, had to bring something crafty and I personally journal a ton, so these was a perfect gift from me, and with the clearance price tag (even with shipping) they fit the bill!
I stamped these with a retired CTMH stamp called Autumn Splendor using the "rock and roll" stamping technique with Barn Red, goldrush, olive, and chocolate inks (CTMH).  Then I cut CTMH's burlap ribbon lengthwise and wrapped it around the front cover, tying it in a knot.  For the tag, I stamped the sentiment from the Always Grateful stamp set from CTMH (love this set!) on colonial white cardstock and then backed it on a olive cardstock tag shape.  I adhered the tag to the cover with glue dots and then added a round durable stud for the tag's "hole".
Inside I stamped another sentiment from the Always Grateful stamp set...
Here it is upclose...
You can tell I love these colors--look at the journal on my bedspread!  I live in these colors all year round :)
So, I paired these journals with the subway art fall cards from this post--and made 3 of my friends very happy and grateful to receive these fun fall gratitude journals!  Have a grateful day and thanks for stopping by, my friend!

Subway Art Fall Cards

Howdy Y'all--Happy Fall!!  These cards combine some of my FAVORITE things right now...fall (and all of fall's yummy colors), burlap, and Subway Art!  What's NOT to love?  I had a blast stamping with CTMH's September Stamp of the Month (SOTM) Poster Tidings.  It has both a fall stamp and a winter stamp--you will see that image more next month.  Check it out--both are so cute!
For the fall stamp, I stamped the image in several different colors, and then paper-pieced them together to create a colorful work of subway art.
Inks used: Vineyard Berry, Olive, Goldrush (all CTMH)
Supplies used: burlap ribbon and hemp (CTMH), durables round studs (CTMH), assorted patterned paper (CTMH: goldrush floral and houndstooth), and cocoa cardstock.
I truly love all the different versions of these cards--the colors are so fun to mix and match to highlight different words.
A few more shots...
Hope you have a wonderful and blessed day in your neck of the woods!
Thanks for stopping by!

Spellbound Halloween Mini Album

Welcome Back!  Today's post features a Halloween themed mini book (kraft ringed binder) using the papers from CTMH's Spellbound collection.  I was able to score this paper pack on clearance for $2.50--it came with 12 pages of cardstock (sunset, black, and slate) in addition to all of the patterned papers so it was a wonderful deal!  I am not that much into Halloween personally (totally different story when it comes to fall...) but I have a dear friend who is and who recently lost her father to cancer.  So when this little kraft binder came in the mail (had a company logo on it)...I knew JUST what to do with the Halloween papers!  I covered the front, back, and spine of the binder with heavy-duty adhesive (glue dots, Tombow) and tied it off with a black striped grosgrain ribbon bow (CTMH).  Honestly, a flourish of black rhinestones is what this album really needed to finish it off, but I was hoping to get it in the mail for my friend upon her return from her dad's memorial service...so I did not have the luxury to fuss over it!

Let me take you on a tour inside...
(Note: All stamped images were done with a clear Halloween stamp set I purchased from Michaels years ago (brand unknown) in black pigment ink)
Embellishments: Silver shimmer trim (CTMH), black/white/orange baker's twine (local scrapbook store), gray striped washi tape (SU), adhesive gems

There is a pocket on the left page (above)
I had JUST enough scraps for this little card! Sentiment from Year Round Cheer (CTMH, retired) in black ink.

And a look at the album with a matching card--
LOVE!!  Hope my friend gets a HUGE smile from this and feels LOVED and ENCOURAGED as she pops in her family photos to celebrate her favorite holiday!  The best part is that there is plenty of room inside to add to through the years--cardstock pages make it super easy--just trim, punch holes, and add as you go!
I love you Gloria!!  Enjoy!

Happy Birthday, Isaac!

This is a fun little card made from SU Paper Pumpkin from the September kit.  I tweaked the kit directions a bit and added the "celebrate you" line from CTMH's Party Pennants stamp set (retired).  I used the chevron pieces from the card kit on a journal--will have to post that soon :)  We have been neck deep in Disney vacationing and party planning for our five year old, Isaac, so sorry I have been MIA for a few weeks!  Fun times!  God bless!
