Footloose Cards: Starfish

Here is the final installment to my Footloose cards collection using CTMH's Footloose patterned paper pack and the Workshop on the Go stamp set.

This card uses a die-cut White Daisy card base (CTMH), the sentiment from Card Chatter--Sympathy, and features the ink colors Creme Brulee, Olive (rolled together), and Chocolate ink (sentiment).  Hope you are having a great week--thanks for stopping by!

Footloose Cards: Sea Horse

Here's the next installment of my Footloose cards collection :)  As mentioned in a few of my previous blog entries this month, I have enjoyed using this "summery" patterened paper collection called "Footloose" from CTMH and the accompaning stamp set from the Workshop on the Go using the "rock and roll" stamping technique.  For this card, I used Creme Brulee and Lagoon ink colors for the image, and Chocolate ink for the sentiment, which comes from the Say it in Style stamp set from CTMH (this set is very versatile and is a MUST HAVE for cardmakers!).  And as usual, almost every edge of paper on this card is inked in chocolate ink to distress it!  Thanks for stopping by--hope you have a creative day :)

July 4th Cards

Hope you all had a fantastic July 4th holiday!  I enjoyed some great time with my hubby and kids and also got to do some crafting beforehand to send some happy mail to some out-of-town family.  I didn't want to post these on the blog until after they were received and enjoyed, so here it goes now!

For these cards, I used scraps of patterned paper (retired) and cardstock from CTMH, and then used the American Celebrations stamp set from CTMH for the images and sentiments.  Ink colors used were Riding Hood Red (SU), Pacifica (CTMH), and Daffodil Delight (SU), and black.

One of the cool and unique features of cardstock from CTMH is that it is white-core.  So, for these cards, I used a rectangle of Pacifica cardstock and scored lines in it using my Martha Stewart score board at regular intervals.  Then, I flipped the cardstock over and, using a fine-gauge crafting sanding block, I sanded over the scored lines until the white core peeked through.  As a final touch, I used glitter glue to give some sparkle to the stars and fireworks.

Here's my last version using a CTMH die-cut card base (love these!).  The foam numbers are also from CTMH (retired).

God Bless America!!

Footloose Cards: Fish

Back with another summer card made with CTMH's Footloose paper pack.  This card also features the "rock n' roll" inking technique, using Lagoon and Olive ink (CTMH).  The fish stamps are from the Footloose Workshop on the Go stamp set.  The sentiment comes from Card Chatter--Sympathy stamp set (CTMH), stamped in chocolate ink.  The inside of the card reads "coming your way."  I finished the front off with a few sparkly blue gems--so fun!  Thanks for stopping by, as always.

Footloose Cards: Sea Turtle

Hi there!  I have been enjoying some much needed family time this summer--hope you have too!  I have been in the "beachy" theme for awhile now, thanks to this great paper pack from CTMH called Footloose.  It blends some beautiful neutral colors with blue and green hues that really shout SUMMER!  The card series I will post over the next week uses this paper pack and one of my FAVORITE stamping techniques called the "rock and roll."  Basically, you stamp your image in a lighter inkpad color, then roll the edges around in a darker inkpad color, and then stamp your image onto paper.  The colors blend so beautifully and it comes out differently every time!  This card features a cute little sea turtle from the Workshop on the Go Footloose kit--my oldest daughter is currently very into sea turtles, so this has proven to be a fun stamp set for her to use, too!  I stamped the sea turtle in Creme Brulee ink first, then rolled it in Olive--kinda cool, huh?

The inside reads "...you are in my thoughts and prayers." and is stamped using Card Chatter--Sympathy stamp set (CTMH).  This little card will accompany a meal I am delivering for a friend recovering from back surgery tomorrow!
